Delete your Propsynk account

This page explains how to delete your account and the data attached to it in Propsynk – Rent & Leases, the app published by Propsynk Inc., and what happens to your records afterwards.

Delete your account from inside the app

This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately. You will need to be able to sign in. If you cannot sign in, use the email request below instead.

Open the Propsynk app
Sign in as the person whose account you want to delete.
Tap the More tab
It is the last tab in the bottom bar, on both landlord and tenant accounts.
Scroll to the Account section
It sits at the bottom of the More screen, above Sign Out.
Tap Delete Account
This opens the deletion screen with a warning about what happens next.
Confirm it is you
Type DELETE in the confirmation field. If you signed up with an email and password, enter that password too — accounts created with Google or Apple sign-in skip this step.
Tap Delete account
Your personal information is erased right away, and you are signed out on every device. This cannot be undone.

Or request deletion by email

If you have uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or would rather we handle it, email [email protected] from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. The button below opens your email app with the request already written.

Email a deletion request

We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on the request — this protects your account from someone else deleting it. We aim to acknowledge requests within a few business days and to complete verified requests within 30 days. You can also reach us at [email protected].

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we erase the personal information that identifies you and lock the account permanently. Deletion cannot be undone, and we cannot restore an account afterwards — so if you want your own copies of documents or records, save or export them before you delete.

What is kept, and for how long

Propsynk is used to run real tenancies, so some records outlive the account. Where we keep a record, it is no longer linked to you by name or contact details — your entries appear as a deleted user. We keep these because tenancy, tax and consumer-reporting law requires it, or because the record belongs to someone else’s tenancy as much as yours.

Data keptWhyAdditional retention period
Lease and tenancy records, agreements, amendments and noticesTenancy law, and the other party to the tenancy keeps their own copyUp to 7 years after the lease ends or the account closes, whichever is later

Backup copiesBackups are written in bulk and cannot be edited record by recordOverwritten on the normal backup cycle, within a limited period after deletion

Once a retention period ends, the record is deleted or de-identified. Full detail is in the Data Retention Schedule in our Privacy Policy.

Two things to do before you delete

  • Cancel your subscription separately. A paid Propsynk subscription is billed by Google Play or the App Store, not by us. Deleting your account does not cancel it — cancel it in your Google Play or Apple subscription settings first, or it will keep renewing.
  • Save anything you want to keep. Export or download your leases, receipts and documents while you can still sign in.

One thing deletion does not reach: records another person keeps about a tenancy you were part of. If your landlord, property manager or a contractor maintains their own copy of a lease, notice or invoice in their account, that copy is their record and stays with them.
